I apply on LinkedIn and via company websites
Oftentimes the jobs aren't posted on the website and they are posted elsewhere
Wonderful information. Thanks a lot for this. You are brilliant, I appreciate it. Have a good day.
You have a really clear speech sir good work
Great, 5 minutes to hear statements of the obvious. 🤷🏻♂️
One thing i like is not have to use computer i can transfer my resume directly from my phone very simple
I enjoyed indeed
Best tip I've heard so far
Indeed and LinkedIn is the last place I go now to apply. I’ll only apply on the website and copy the key words on the job description to have AI create a custom resume and cover letter for that particular position. Make sure you hit all the bullet points on the job description. Finally ask and network. I have recruiters sending me positions that just come out so I can early. Get to know the recruiters using LinkedIn. I have an interview next week with a recruiter that reached out to me from a job. Only target recruiters on LinkedIn. I never apply for “easy apply” button. The best way I found is target current employees and ask if they are really hiring. A reference is also a good way to get on the front door. It’s a very rough market. Good luck everyone.
Linkedin is crap. Echo chamber for cell phone holster khaki wearing douchebags.
Why .. are .. you .. talking .. like . That.
Thanks so much! I’m going to try this method:DD
Thanks
Been there. Very stupid thing to do.
Most of the jobs in LinkedIn, require to create an account in the company’s website to apply. So, there’s nothing new there.
Indeed is false and dangerous. Hopefully everyone knows it already.
LinkedIn is a cesspool of racist recruiters. I use to have a profile on LinkedIn because my college workshop said it would be a good way to advertise my talents. That was a lie. I had good grades and a positive work background. I even had reviews from former managers. When I would apply to certain postings I would see the recruiter viewed my profile, but never heard back. This went on and on and on. I immediately realized there was something wrong. If you are a person of color, do not look for work on LinkedIn. And do not keep your profile up. People will try to investigate your personal affairs.
Indeed is crap
I number has problems with any online job boards. Lots of responses.
Hello sir, here to put my appreciation on how you help us build how careers. thank you so much watching from Uganda
For every one decent job there are 11 people applying for it. It turns out working in America is a scam
What are other websites to look for a job in Australia
MUCHAS GRACIAS THANK YOU SO MUCH,
Speaking as a former company recruiter, applying on a company site is basically dropping your resume into an abyss. If your resume isn't ATS-friendly and contains the words the company is looking for, the system will never get it to the right person. It just goes into a black hole.
Resumes definitely have to be ATS-friendly. Thanks for the reminder!
Same thing, the career page ignore the resumes using AI. And if the recruiter changes his mind and repost the position you can't apply again.
Definitely! AI can be helpful, but every resume needs to be customized to each position you apply for.
Gen Z: What does he mean when he says, "Call them." ? LOL
Is objective/ profile section outdated? Should i include?
Objective section is outdated, but a Profile Summary can be useful.
Excellent points. Now i just use LinkedIn and Indeed to find out about jobs instead of applying at those sites
What annoys me is all this DEI rubbish. Asking questions about my sexual identity, pronouns, race all discriminatory. It is simple. Do I have the akills and ability to do the jov? Yes or No
Politics should stay out of employment.
Many IT jobs on LinkedIn don't exist - they are placed there as a CV collection exercise, the details of which are sold on. Also, in IT, a great many jobs are advertised by bodyshops, and these often have onerous working requirements. I am disillusioned with LinkedIn as a job-finding platform - after 2 years of job applications, and not a single interview, I pretty much have a good handle on the how LinkedIn is used as an exploitative tool for harvesting CVs - for example, I get many unsolicited messages there (often in languages I don't speak) about other jobs I'm not qualified to do, these are CV fishing exercises, and if the sender had bothered to read my profile, they'd see I'm not suitable.
How can this be fone for a person who works on pure technical job like stress analysis or lifing of components.
I would need more info about what type of work you do, but things like maintaining a safe work area, number of days without accidents, actions taken to prevent accidents or injuries could be examples.
Solid advice, thank you.
Your way of teaching is impressive, Sir💕 How do we communicate with our clients on LinkedIn for quick response and successful collaboration? kindly make a video on it.
You have to be able to provide value and develop trust to receive a quick response, possibly leading to collaboration.
Thanks for information sir...👍
Greatly appreciated, thank you
LinkedIn has only One Point Agenda that being how to generate more traffic on their platform and if it takes fake or non existent jobs to post repeatedly, they don't care. I am jobless for last one year and shocked to observe that after applying close to 300 jobs none has produced even a single response. Such a demotivating that it has started causing self doubt although I am Supply Chain Management professional with 15 years of experience handling global projects and wasn't really ready that my profile will be ignored to that extent.
❤😂🎉
Thanks for this. In my job search on LinkedIn my intuition and experience hunting for a job has led me to this idea as well.
If you’re applying on Indeed and not getting any responses, you may want to consider working on your resume. In the past month I’ve received 4 offer letters ranging from $60 to $68000 a year. Hit me up if you need real answers with true results!
Thank you so much for these informative videos on Resumes.
You're very welcome!
3:00 Also means linkedin don’t get commission which gives you an advantage
Tend to agree with another person's statement here applying coming out forms online is nuts when your using resume to apply
Indeed is comically bad. You’ll set the job search to show jobs specifically in your area with your experience level and it’ll only show jobs in different states that require 10 years experience that pays minimum wage and already has 200 applicants. Indeed has to be a troll app because it’s unreal how bad there filters are 😂
Like many other platforms, they want you to pay for a premium account.
A well put together short video that cuts through the waffle - fantastic stuff. Thanks for posting this. Sub'd.😉👍
You're welcome! Glad you found it useful.
Insightful
for the specific job I seek, those employers arent going to take an Indeed submission for application, these employers will have you redirected to their website to fill out their own application, Indeed is a service for me to identify who is actually seeking help, what I AM seeing in the job market IS that employers are fully staffed BUT their staff is grossly unqualified, the workplace has hobbled itself where it cannot shed this dead weight, the staff that is unqualified KNOWS they bull sh*tted their way in the door and knows they're stuck with them, these massive layoffs are those organizations shedding that dead weight, most of these companies could be profitable but their staff is utterly incapable of realizing these goals, now the applicant pool is flooded with inexperienced job seekers who think they're ENTITLED to a career just because,
You`re correct; I`ve never heard of anyone getting work through LinkedIn, and I was on it 10 years, until I left it 2 years ago.
Indeed pr hr or owner kaa no hi nhi aata ki uspe call kr sake or job mil jaaye asaani se
Glad to come across this video. I dont have to waste my time on these 2 sites LOL
This advice is so helpful! I feel like recently LinkedIn & indeed are not as effective. Applying directly on the company's website or reaching out to their hr department by calling seems to be better
